Upon the close of the application submission deadline, all project solicitors will be notified of their status within 2-3 weeks. If your proposal is accepted by MAD Lab, you will become our partner in our process, interacting with the team on a monthly basis. Examples of past MAD Lab projects can be found here.

Our development process is adapted to suit the needs of each project based on the existing stage of the proposal. It typically includes the following:

  • Background Research

    Needs screening and technical viability, market opportunity, and ethnographic research.

  • Concept Generation

    Identification of design requirements, low-resolution sketching and prototyping, competitive landscaping, user feedback, market segmentation, manufacturing feasibility studies, and technical concept generation.

  • Concept Refinement

    Prototyping, technical feasibility studies, and market positioning statements.
